Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the people who operate ChatGPTGIF.net at chatgptgif.net ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site you accept them, along with our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are

ChatGPTGIF.net is an independent website that lets you make GIFs with OpenAI's GPT Image 2.6 model through our own interface. We are not OpenAI, and the site is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by OpenAI. ChatGPT, GPT Image and OpenAI are trademarks of OpenAI, used here only to say which model the site runs.

What the site does

You describe a scene and the motion you want, optionally add a photo as the starting point, and an AI model turns it into a short animated GIF. The GIF is made by a machine: the motion may not match your description exactly, and frames can contain mistakes such as odd details, flicker or distorted shapes. Check the result before you use it anywhere.

Free use

Every visitor can make one GIF for free, without signing up. The allowance is per person, not per browser: we track it by network and device, and using extra devices, browsers, VPNs or scripts to get more is not allowed. We may change or pause the free allowance at any time.

What you type and upload

• Upload only photos of yourself, of people who have agreed to it, or images you have the right to use.
• No photos of anyone under 18.
• No nudity, sexual content, violence, hate, or anything that is illegal where you or we are, whether in a photo or a prompt.

Face swap. On the GIF face swap tool, use only your own face or a face you have permission to use. Don't use it to impersonate anyone, or to make sexual, defamatory or harassing content about a real person. You are responsible for the GIFs and photos you add and for what you do with the results.

Your prompts and photos stay yours. You allow us to store them, process them and pass them to our AI providers only to make the GIFs you ask for, until they are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

The GIFs you make

We claim no ownership of the GIFs you create. How you may use them also depends on the terms of the AI model and providers behind the tool, and we make no promise about commercial use, so read those terms before you rely on a GIF commercially. Keep in mind that in some countries purely AI-made images can't be protected by copyright, and someone else may get a similar result from a similar prompt.

Don't use the GIFs to impersonate anyone, to pass them off as official OpenAI or ChatGPT material, or to deceive or harass people.

What you must not do

• Break the law or anyone else's rights while using the site.
• Get around the free allowance or rate limits.
• Scrape the site, overload it, probe it for weaknesses or try to reach data that isn't yours.
• Resell the service or build a product on top of it without our written permission.

Our content

The site's design, text, logo and example GIFs belong to us. Don't copy them without our permission.

Changes, suspension and ending access

We may change, pause or shut down any part of the site. If you break these terms, we may block your access without notice.

No guarantees

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be up, that it will be free of errors, or that a GIF will suit your purpose.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost data or missed opportunities. Our total liability for any claim connected with the site is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes too. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new version.
